The Charter is designed to help get more people in to work by making UK Hiring faster, fairer, and safer. To boost the economy, improve productivity, and enhance the UK’s competitiveness abroad, UK Hiring needs to be better for everyone.
1. Adopt digital hiring practices to make UK Hiring the fastest globally.

2. Standardise hiring with the free-to-use sector specific Better Hiring Toolkits.

3. Remove unnecessary job requirements, only asking for qualifications and experience where entirely necessary to undertake the role.

4. Improve job transparency by ensuring transparent job adverts and job descriptions that include salary details and the flexible working options.

5. Create a clear Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) policy that encourages applications from underrepresented groups.

6. Follow best practice guidelines on the use of AI in Hiring.

7. Commit to remove barriers in hiring and in the workplace for women.

8. To improve supply chains ensure all job adverts placed on 3rd party sites are Online Safety Act complaint by only working with job boards in an approved scheme such as the Online Recruitment Scheme supported by UK Government.

9. Implement and promote a mental health policy, which addresses the new hybrid workplace.

10. Modernise safeguarding policies to reflect new and emerging digital risks and Hiring Fraud.
